All is good and I have learned a lot! The only drawback is that the instructor needs to update some of the implementations as currently we are now at Gulp 5.

But all in all, it was great. Thank you :)

Nothing you could not summarize by reading 1 or 2 tutorials online. No explanation of the reasons why something was done. This is in line with other courses from Packt.

This video series truly lives up to its title and objective. In my opinion this is the absolutely fastest way to go from not knowing anything about Gulp to being able to use Gulp to optimise your workflow. The video series starts at the very beginning explaining what Gulp is and how to get it installed, through to writing tasks and then showing you how to use Gulp to perform the most common tasks you would want to perform with Gulp. The series ends off with a brief look at streams, which is what makes Gulp different to set you on a path to understanding the mechanics behind Gulp. If you have never used Gulp or any front-end build tool before before, or use Grunt and want to understand why Gulp is becoming the preferred choice, then this is the perfect video for you. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Before this course I didn't have any experience about the Gulp. Now I know how to use the Gulp to create better websites. The lecture has explained the concepts of Gulp through clear examples and step-by-step instructions. Which is awesome.
I have learnt all the basics about the gulp using this course. Such as setting up Gulp and writing basic tasks and common use cases to create a plug-in from scratch. And also optimizing web site’s files and automating the process of testing the code, as well as tips on how to get the most out of Gulp.
The lecture has mentioned number of very useful plug-ins throughout this course. Such as live reload plug-in, gulp-jasmine plug-in and so on..
The lecture has mentioned lot of very useful external readings on each section on this course. Which is very important for getting extra knowledge about the concepts.
I would like to recommend this course for the JavaScript developers who would like to learn the basics of the Gulp.
I have seen on some screens where the lecture has closed the presentation page very quickly. So we have to re-play it to see again. Which is bad. Need to give sufficient time to see the content to the viewer.

Gulp is a new JS task manager which contends for the throne of Grunt. It has lots of advantages against Grunt, but you may find it difficult to get your head around it's stream based approach which is its main strength. This is a nice introductory course to get started with Gulp and helps you take your project of the ground pretty fast.
