I really like the step-by-step coding guidance and the code docs after each chapter. Additionally, explanation for codes that looks complicated helps make the course easy and user-friendly for MySQL starters. That's good for new starters like me to understand the logic behind those codes and remember them.
The only opportunity is Section 20 and Section 21. I understand they're optional legacy sections, so the lecturer left them not updated. It would be great if the lecturer could update videos of those two legacy sections using a local terminal app from the operating system directly.
Very well taught. There were examples with every concept/topic. I enjoyed coding along with the instructor.
Good course for understanding SQL! Very detailed and loved how interactive the course was. Colt put a lot of effort into preparing the materials, gave ample reasoning of what was he going to teach and why that particular path. The exercises he chose were also very relevant and I loved how much thought he had put into it.

This course taught me most of everything I needed for a foundation in SQL. I won't deny that. Colt was good at his job as a content presenter. However, it's presented on a mishmash of tools that are hard to follow. A lot of the content was recorded in 2016/2017 using dated workbenches, and defunct IDEs. A lot has changed in the MySQL world between the recording and now and it shows. The TA's have done an excellent job of bridging the gap, but this course could use a full rerecord with modern tools. People in IT are used to "making it work" but I spent a lot of time trying to figure out my own way through the content using tools not presented because they literally didn't exist anymore. I would give this 5 stars if it were updated with modern tools on the current mySQL deployment, with an active IDE and Workbench.

This is a great course for beginners as I learned a lot in a short amount of time. The only thing I'm missing is a lessong on mass loading data from say a CSV file as most of the course you will be manually loading data. All in all, a very good course!
