I’ve been involved in teaching and education for more than ten years. While a graduate student at UCLA I taught hundreds of budding engineers, and after completing my Ph.D. in 2012 I joined a company that supported middle and high school math teachers with great lesson materials. During this time I transitioned into web development, and in 2015 I joined...

Overall this is a really great course. Colt is an incredible teacher. Unfortunately, the course is a bit old now and I'm no longer able to access a lot of the resources due to AWS Cloud9 no longer being available to new customers. Some of the videos have physical files you can download, but many do not.

One other annoying thing about this course is typing in the coding exercises is quite janky for me. Unless I type very slowly, I end up with tons of duplicate letters for each letter I type. This might also have something to do with the age of the course.

Had I purchased this course when it was first released, it would have been an easy 5 stars, but it is hard to give that same rating and recommendation today.

The material was good at the time (I bought it some time ago).
Why 3 stars? Well...

I came back to review some materials related to CSS and I see that the course instructors have quit answering questions. Worse, they are doing this while still selling new courses here on Udemy. I don't personally care about getting support (i'm at a point where I can pretty much always figure it out), but a lot of folks who bought this course are left hanging in the wind. The material is getting outdated in places, and they're still selling it without updating it and without support.

Kinda messed up.
