I've had some programming classes before but none with Android programming. This course has been perfect for me as I didn't have all of the Java components installed or 'linked' as needed, either. This instructor was extremely helpful in SHOWING where to obtain the software and HOW to connect everything together. I highly recommend this course!

The version of Android Studio used in the video is dated, however much of it crosses over...just more work for a neophyte.

This was a very helpful course but should be renamed to "Learn how to install the latest JDK AND Android Studio in a foolproof way, and get to thoroughly familiarize yourself with its interface and shortcuts in 2 hours" instead of "Learn Android Studio in 2 hours." You don't learn everything there is to know about Android Studio, but it gives you a good start.
It was very helpful, and it taught me by example how to get started in my mobile apps class when I fell behind and wasn't very confident in navigating about the Android Studio IDE.
I love that he shows you how to debug step by step (literally) with Android Studio's log cat, and thoroughly shows you how to use Git in Android studio. I'm someone who never knew anything about version control, and this helped me get started from an absolute beginner level.
I wished there was more about the different widgets, because this instructor was very easy to follow and I would love to see him go thoroughly in depth about how to use each one in the design tab of the main xml file part.
Overall great intro crash course to get you started and comfortable with the IDE, but that's it. It doesn't tell you about how to actually use the widgets. You'll have to explore and figure that out on your own using the power of google.

The content is well paced and helpful. The narration is melodious and calming. He did a great job. Android Studio has a very high learning curve, so far as I can tell, but this course makes it easy to pick up. I'll look forward to more courses from this gentleman.
