I am an orthopaedic surgeon and clinical educator with Deakin University Medical School. As a practical surgeon, I like to involve students in clinical situations, in clinics wards and operating theatre, so that they can build from and understanding of basic anatomy and physiology to a more complex understanding of musculoskeletal disease and its treatment. Understanding and seeing is much better than rote learning!
