He doesn't go deep into background explanations but does a good job of plowing through the necessary knowledge quickly, especially if you have a slight bit of programming experience.

great course - very action oriented - work along with the videos and you'll learn a lot. Sometimes he goes a bit fast, but just pause the video and catch up. I'd rather have that then a course that drags.

The screen is so small I cannot tell if the code is a +, -, +=, etc. I maximized my screen to see if that helped but it didn't and since the instructor has not included the files with code, I am abandoning this course after Lecture 8. Just too frustrating.
I knew pretty well the basics of Javascript coming into this course. I learned a couple nuance concepts, but nothing that will aid my journey into development. I did learn some of the basics of working with Visual Studio, however. I suspect I'll never use it, but it's nice to have the exposure.
Instructor is clear, well-organized, and knowledgeable. This is a good introduction to JavaScript technologies with clear details on how to use Visual Studio. I signed up for this course because I wanted to build a few small JavaScript apps, this course was the perfect fit. There were no slides, only examples - lots of examples. Definitely worth the money. Instructor is gold!
I had already spent $200 on another course a few months back on udemy teaching Javascript and a few other languages. I was watching videos that were 15 minutes long or more. This was because the guy was making up the material on the fly. I get very frustrated when things drag on. So, instead of being annoyed. I sought out another course and found this one. I was worried at first, it was new but with the instructors strong teaching background and the speed he taught at, allowed me to grasp the concepts faster. Your given small quizzes to verify you retained important information after each video. I like to learn fast, and this course is perfect for people who are the same. I can not wait for more courses by him. I already purchased the instructors C sharp course as well. If you read those reviews, the seem to go hand in hand with mine. I never write reviews but thought I add one because there was none on this course as of yet. Hope it was helpful.

The instructor doesn't do a great job explaining things, often seeming to rush or gloss over concepts. Several of the quizzes have been broken as well where the answer has a true/false choice without a question actually being asked. In a nutshell, the course material is old and needs to be updated.
