Old sluggish waste course. Unprofessional instructors with zero courtesy for students. Avoid any course from Devslopes.

Overall, the course is good, but it's really outdated and I've lost copious hours looking for a solution for bugs and outdated pieces of code. The projects are really long and spend more time with additional stuff than actually on the video subject.

This course was probably good to take within the first 3 months it came out. This course does not seem like it was supported well for very long. Many of the clips are from older videos and just reused from Swift 3. The Swoosh app from lesson 47 far from finished; "Finished" button on SkillVC does nothing, beginner and baller buttons do nothing either, player var from the model selectedSkillLevel was also never used nor addressed. Lesson 49 was a disaster almost nothing "taught" was accurate I fought it for many hours. Lesson 69 the Smack App I am directed to sign up with Heroku then told to go to GitHub to access a Devslopes repository that doesn't exist, I eventually found it on my own, it is on a different account. The Smack app was such a nightmare, so many things unclear and misleading. We were told that if the Heroku thing worked you don't need a lesson, but you do because ALL the next lessons are based on it, and it was a database that no longer works as shown so I was never able to download it to begin with. A disclaimer of "This is no longer valid" would have saved me a few days of BS. There was also some very poor video editing on the smack app, at one point he writes some bad code and never fixes it, apparently in between recording it gets fixed, but a messed Constants file caused many hours of problems, I had to download the finished source files and compare line after line til I found it. Pixel city is just a convoluted mess of doing things wrong over and over, so little was done right that it made learning anything very hard. All that being said, there were a few good nuggets, but because the stuff is not supported you should not be able to buy the course, that is very dirty.

Devslopes gives this feeling of just a group of guys that really care about your success. Mark and the entire crew take complex topics and break it down to a point where everything just clicks. Ideas are reinforced over many projects and not just learned once. Absolutely love the work that the guys at Devslopes do.
