Nice. This is what I was looking for. As a beginner, this course helped me a lot when it comes to class and using the "gosu" gem to create games. Very basic stuff, yet sufficient to get simple games running in no time.

I have a background in javascript and python. The teacher didn't go through the differences in windows and mac installation at all. He just said "do this if you have WIndows" and kept it at that. Of course since I am not new to programming I could easily find out what to do on the mac, but beginners could do things wrong.

Most of the course just covers a publicly available Gosu tutorial. Whack a Mole section covers the actual Gosu concepts and functionality in more depth, but still breezes through a lot of core concepts without much explanation. This is a contrast with the roughly 2 hours of course material covering basic Ruby concepts at some length.

A good, but brief introduction to Ruby. Covers installation of Ruby and gems well. The language used is at the same time accessible and overly informal, so pros and cons there. One of the projects is a run through of a Gosu wiki tutorial, I have also had news of new content being added soon. Looking forward to it!

Actually I enjoyed the Ruby explanation quite a lot, was a very good reminder and let me understand better hard concepts for me such as classes. It's four stars because I thin the Gosu portion of it (a quarter of the tutorial) wasn't as well explained as the ruby portion. Anyhow, I'm satisfied
