While the presenter clearly knows his topic the delivery is very poor. As some other reviewers have said some knots just seem to appear out of nowhere. After multiple sessions I still have no idea how he starts a bow line as his hands hide the action. In one joining knot he says to 'start with a hitch', which was not shown previously and is not included in the course. Some knots are clearer than others, but at least half are poorly presented. To make it worse it's filmed from the reverse angle so instead of copying the demonstration you have to mirror it. There's nothing here I wasn't able to get for free from different websites about knot tying. Overall not a good course despite some flashes of useful content.

These videos are awful, can't see what is actually happening as the knots are tied.

Easy to see how to make the knots. Not too fast. I like that the instructor explains the different types of ropes as well.

I didn't think this was going to be a magic course, but the way most of the knots magically appear here, you might think it is. The history, "theory", and rough description of where the knots could be used is OK, but the actual tying of the knots---the part I'm most interested in---isn't clear at all. To the instructor, it's probably like tying his shoes. But I'm uninitiated in the fine art of tying knots (which is why I'm taking this class). The close-ups are covered by his hands, and the point of view is completely wrong to be able to pick this up just by watching. I even turned my laptop screen upside down on my lap to get the correct point-of-view, only to realize I couldn't see what his hands were doing anyway! I think it would be better to have a hand-out showing how each knot is tied (in steps, for later review), then re-tape the knot tying with slower actions, using the point-of-view of the rope in front of your own two hands. To be fair, there may be a hand-out of knots tied in this course, but I didn't get all the way through it to find out. I'm disappointed and will be looking for a better way to learn to tie knots!
