TLDR: The title could easily be called "Build Your Own WordPress Website Using the Genesis Framework". You learn how about the options available in the Genesis Framework. If you don't have it, you'll have to spend money to get access (and to buy a child framework). You'll also need to find a web host to host your WordPress site which also costs money.

If you're going to be working with WordPress and specifically the Genesis Framework, then this may be a good place to start. If you're diving into WordPress for the first time, this is probably not a good course to start with. If you don't have access to the framework, then be prepared to purchase it. You will also need to purchase a child framework (or fine a free one). As of July 2018, it's $60 to purchase Genesis. It's probably worth purchasing since it does seem to be a pretty good framework.

You will also need to pay for a web host unless you know how to create a WordPress server. I used Vagrant (vagrantup.com) and VCCW (vccw.cc) to create a local environment to experiment in.

It's worth the sale price but, since you have to pay for the framework, etc... I wouldn't spend more then that...

This class seems very specific for people who want to use the Genesis theme, which is not bad. However, for starters, Genesis and the child theme are super expensive. For people who are building websites that are going to make them a lot of money, it might make sense. What about other kinds of websites?

A very basic cause but gets a new user going with WordPress.

The price is too high for such a basic course and the use of the word "pro-quality" in the title is not justified. However, it does offer a good starting point and worth the time .... I paid a cheap price on a promo so got good value

the course mentions "build a pro quality website" however it is incredibly basic. Also, if you are not solely focusing on Genesis or the child theme that the instructor picked, the mid-section of the course if pretty much useless for you. I would call the course : Wordpress basics with Genesis. that would be much more accurate. thank you

Very basic course about setting up Wordpress. Some areas could have been covered in more depth. I like the idea of using a genesis theme, but it a bit presumptuous assuming that everyone can afford to spend over ÂŁ100 or $200 just one a website theme. Especially not for someone who just starting out with their business.

More like a basic collection of Wordpress theme and plugin tutorials. Not a bad course, but not the best one I have done in relation to Wordpress.
