I have to rate it average for following reasons :
1. Tutor uses Dreamweaver and not mentions the same in the description of the course. There were few beginning lessons where I had to flounder
2. WEB APPLICATION is not what this is, it is more or less a web site with some JS
A good starting point to get an idea of HTML, very little idea of CSS and some of JS, a teaser to learn more in depth

This is a well-structured course, with clear examples, everything is mapped out perfectly. It is really helpful and teaches different kind of elements which might be used for a business application.
It is an introduction, but it covers a lot, but it should be noted that you need a lot more than this course to build a functional web application, such as the server side for example. For teaching HTML, it is perfect and includes also CSS and some Javascript.

I was able to start and complete this course in one evening. The step-by-step instructions and the full code at the end makes getting a functional website with this method up and running relatively quickly. If you're new to web design and want a more in depth study on the topic, be sure to check out the companion course: HTML5 Core Fundamentals by Phil Cowcil and Krista Hildner as well. It's much more in depth and covers basics of CSS as well as some neat html 5 tricks. I'm happy to have completed both courses.

A great short and sweet set of lectures that gets right to the point. I've been struggling with a design for my own business websites, and this course showed me an efficient design I can use. I especially liked the use of tabs to show new information and hide the old information instead of navigating to a brand new page every time. From here, it'll be easy to modify the contents for each tab for my particular purposes.

These lectures assume you have some familiarity with javascript, but if not, you can always just copy the code and figure out what it all means later. The presenter also uses Dreamweaver, but works in the code view so people in the course can use any HTML editor instead of DW.
