A good hands on course using the tools and packages mentioned. Easy to follow and recreate in the exact environment. A few slides or templates to proactively inform the users of the future steps would be helpful. spending a couple slides to explain the content would provide better context for the student.
this is a beginner API dev class right? it sure did not feel like that and one is left to debug their own error
I was so eager to start this course b/c there aren't many node rest api courses w/ mongo. I was happy with the example and basic JS tutorial. However, setting up the skeleton section is where is went south for me. Jack isn't teaching, he's coding while you watch and not explaining what he's writing or why he's doing it that way. There is so much that wasn't covered the in the JS basics. Then, way too many dependancies. If any of those packages fail b/c of system or package conflicts, then the whole rest of the course is ruined and useless (which happened to me). Lastly, it was so painful to watch Jack setup the package file for those dependancies. Next time, provide the file and move on. Needless to say, I was not able to complete the course.
A lot of things are unexplained. This guy just skims through everything without actually explaining. Also, the tutor was shown as "Mark Price" but someone else is teaching.
This course was super helpful! Learning how to create an API for my apps will allow me to personalize data on the apps I create in the future.

Everything was pretty good until he got to the authorization, it would have been really good that he shows some of the documentation on how and why he used passport like that, but instead he just says I got that from passport..... and there's a ton of code that is related to passport.
This course started off great but when it started to get into the details I had no clue what Jack was doing. It was literally here and there with no explanation what so ever. The only way you would follow this is if you have been doing this for years and have years of experience. FAR FROM A BEGINNER COURSE!
It is going well and it is a challenge someone like me that makes use of windows although it is working fine and all the contents are correct. thanks to devslope from making this kind of course available. I have taken other courses but there is nothing related to it. it motivates me to become a better developer.

This course is quite difficult but it does exaclty what is says on the tin, it is also a bit outdated but that's fine, it got me where I wanted to be and google is also your friend, Brad is an amazing teacher if your objective is to learn, I didn't complete the course as I only required the node.js section and I am now working on his Node.js Masterclass
