This course is not up to date with my current version of FCP. I finally quit because the instructor continued giving instructions to things I didn't have on my current version and was talking way over my head. This is not a beginner course

This talks about using Intel chips, I've just ordered M2Max so I wonder what's going to be different. I learn, then have to unlearn?
Probably could use an update. I wanted to return for something newer but couldn't see how to do so.

Learning is about covering new concepts, but in my life, that learning is best done when the new concepts are bite sized and combined in a recurring fashion with the previously covered topics. This does 2 things. It reinforces the old material, but more importantly, shows the previous materials used in a different way. Material SHOULD be covered i more than one way. It makes it easier seeing it from different perspectives, and allows the viewer to ask themselves - "If he can do it this way AND that way, then I wonder if....." The key to the learning chest is turned and the creativity chest is opened.

I come back to Andy Anderson's training because he does just this. He takes things in small chunks and presents these ideas in varying scenarios. Not just repetitive, one-way only videos, but encouraging the viewer to think outside the box. He asks, AND ANSWERS, questions. You are not left hanging. Well done, Andy. Keep up it. We are never too old to learn something new. I'm 65, and I make it a point to learn something new every day.

Andy is a great instructor and explains well but this version is really outdated! I am using 10.4.8 and many functions are different and much easier. It's weird to watch someone work in a 9 year older version! Andy, please make a new video... and don't refer to an even older version which no one can remember..Please remove this course.

Great course if you are new or relatively new to video editing. Initially I was put off by the fact that the course is taught on FCP X 10.0 and I have the most recent version 10.4.8. A lot has changed and it was difficult trying to keep up with the instructor and do the demos with him. However, by the time he got to teaching about the editing and color features of the program I was comfortable enough to follow along with only the occasional pause to find something. It would be good if there was something in the title or description about the version being used in the course, but overall it is a great course and I am excited to get into it and start making my own videos.

Yes it is a good match for me. I have a small amount of experience with video editing (iMovie and MovieMaker) so this is the next logical step for me.
