About This Course

Learn How To Create IOS Apps And Never Do A Hard Days Work Again - Zero Coding Needed

A Verifiable Certificate of Completion is presented to all students who undertake this course.

In this course, you will learn how to create apps for iPhone and iPad devices. Expert trainer and published author Tony Bove introduces you to using the iOS Software Development Kit (SDK) and Xcode to build apps for the iPhone, iPad and Universal apps. Even if you have never programmed before or built apps before, by the end of this course you will be fully capable of building apps and submitting them to the App Store.

Before you even start building an app, Tony takes you through what makes a good app, and the limitations you will face on the iPhone and iPad platforms. You will learn how to design a good user interface, how to use the iOS simulator, how to program in Xcode, and how an app runs. From there, you will jump right into building apps: designing the interface, including iAds in your app, animating, timing, and much more. You will also learn how to build iPad specific apps to take advantage of a larger screen and additional features. Finally, you will learn how to package your apps, and prepare them for submission to the app store.

By the conclusion of this course you will be fully capable of designing, creating and submitting an app to the Apple App Store, using the iOS SDK and Xcode. The author has included working files, to allow you to work alongside him as he builds an app throughout this video tutorial.

This is a very good basic tutorial for iPhone App development. I hope that you will make an Update covering iOS 6 and storyboard development.

Love the presentation, but the code presented is for iOS 4.3 - with iOS 5.0 and up a lot of it is either superfluous (thanks to Automatic Reference Counting) or doesn't work correctly. Additionally, there is a major disconnect between the XIB files used by the sample app project and the storyboard that is used in the current Xcode. As a result, I've had to stop just over halfway through the cause - hopefully, I can restart once Mr Bove has updated the course material for iOS 5.x.

In these days of portability, nothing is worse than a video which is only watchable on a laptop (not even on an ipad). There is NO download option - the instructor though good needs to wake up and be open about making it a bit easier for the paying students!

Overall, I've found these tutorials immensely helpful so far, with well organised sections and topics. One small issue is with the sound - the narrators voice is regularly distorted due to a poor mic, or as if the narrator is too close to it. Other than this, I have enjoyed the introductory material.
