I'm a best selling author on Amazon for "How to Draw Awesome Figures." I studied art at different schools, one of them being a community college in San Jose, Ca. Over the years, subjects in art finally clicked. I teach these subjects in ways that make it easy to grasp. It's hard to brag about myself, but students have written...

The explanations are pretty lame and it's a lot of going back and forth from what he is doing and then he redoes it again, so when you try to follow along with what he does it becomes really difficult and confusing because you have to erase everything as well. And not to mention the fact that he does it digitally. Also their way of explaining is not engaging at all.
I'm sorry I have to say it like this but it makes it really difficult to be engaged on learning.

Really, just not that concise to the approach. I understand fundamentals are important, but I dont think Neil is fully in control of his art skills enough for me to give this more than I have. I think Neil is a great confident artists, but his teaching methods are lacking with general explanation and process. Neither "do as I say, or as I do- apply for these lessons.
