Growing up in Silicon Valley and the daughter of nerds, I couldn't help but be a technogeek with my fingers on every keyboard telneting and ftp'ing everywhere possible. I got my electrical engineering degree from CalPoly in San Luis Obispo and worked at Apple, SGI, Adobe, Yahoo and Cisco before deciding to head off on my own as a marketing consultant. One of my lessons from the early days in customer support is how to help smart people learn without feeling stupid. We all have to start somewhere, so let's make the journey enjoyable.
