For me it was perfect because I am a relatively experienced developer and I just needed to know the architecture of a wordpress plugin and how it is built, but if I was a beginner with very little knowledge of PHP or programming I am pretty sure that it would have been almost impossible to learn from this course.
So my recommandation is to go for it if you are advanced because it explains the basics of Wordpress plugin development in very little time.
I wish that I had finished this course a couple of months ago. I started it and didn't think that it was a good fit. Now with some extra time, I finished it and found that there was a wealth of information starting with the admin area development. I might suggest that a little time be spent in adding a "Here's what I'm going to show you" , "Here's how to do this (already developed)" , and "Here's what I told you". If I had known where the course was going to take me, I would have finished watching immediately after buying it. Great job!
I now know the basics of plugin development within WordPress. This guy does exactly what he promises to do - take you from zero knowledge of plugin development up to the point of being able to do it on your own.
I will note - if you don't have any experience with HTML, PHP, or MySQL, this will not be helpful. You definitely need to have working experience with the languages used to follow what is being done in his videos and understand the concepts. There were a couple of points that debugging was needed (not because of his videos), so again, development experience is needed to get the full value from this course.
Overall, I am extremely happy I went through this course, and look forward to implementing the skills I've gained. Thank you!
So far just high level, hope he goes into more detail
It is a great course, explains how to build a WP plugin (both front-end | back-end) from scratch, using your own db table. The only thing is that it might needed, was a bit more of detailed explanation while writting some parts of the code. If you have some basic experience with PHP you you will love this course.
At the end of the course I'm able to create a plugin by myself and that's the main objective of the course. Perhaps it could be improved with more fundamentals on the plugin development in Wordpress.
