It is a great course, some outdates parts but they have made me go look for the answer and work through them. Overall, happy so far with the content level and instruction.

I am definitely learning, but with AWS taking over cloud9 and all the content being from the old IDE... I don't know I would have made it this far if I was not already had development experience.

The course is old and there are a lot of compatabilty issues with cloud 9. Instruction is very good. After getting the development issues worked out I've found it very good.

This is an excellent course! It is not getting a 5 star rating because it is a little bit outdated. Otherwise, really good material here.

The course was great, it would have easily earned 5 stars if it was updated maybe every few years to reflect current RoR code. After the first almost entire half of the lecture, problems became apparent and stacked on each other until the code would no longer work because every library is 2+ years old (in his code.) Update the course a bit, then I'll come back through and be happy to leave a 5 star rating.

It's hard to call this a complete course when it relies on codecademy, and at the end of the course, you still can't do anything except find a better course to actually learn how to do this. Not just how to build one site by copying the instructor.

The course was created in 2014 so no updates available and this is my only CON about this course, otherwise Practical building of a working app is very useful!
In building the App , Payment section has issues because of version issues!
Anyways learnt a lot !!

Feel the assistance could had been better. When a question is asked, and no response for over 2 months, isn't helpful. The information was outdate compared to our time line Even though there was assistance to using the new Cloud9, everything was centered to the old service.

The course is outdated. The structure is good and the creator explains well the basics you need to start the projects. And then it is a disaster. You have to use so many different services, some of them are no longer available, others have significant differences that you can't configure and at the end you give up. It's really a shame that this course is still offered by Udemy. I strongly recommend you NOT to buy it!

UPDATE: After i completed the course, i still don't recommend this course, as it is outdated. If you want to dive in Ruby on Rails, implementing a simple yet comprehensive project, then you could try your patience finishing it. But in case you are interested in Javascript and other modern frameworks (NodeJS, AngulaJS etc.) you should look for other course.
