One of those things that needs direction. Maybe too many options is not a great thing. It desperately needs a pros and cons for plugins that do the same thing

So far the plugins you did show like the calendar has a very wrong concept, where a little programmer think’s he or she can make money out of every little effort. A few lines and boxes and a new monthly fee. This is not the way to go. These is leeches and gadfly mentality.
A simple Website with just needed functionalities will cost more every year than getting a startup Entrepreneur is able to make. This is not free WP anymore. It’s a simple ugly money machine, We should not support.
Adobe with all the large tools and programs included takes a moderate monthly fee, or Netflix with all the thousands of expencive movies, or Spotify with all the music on earth, like to have a monthly fee.
But now every tiny app or bookmark is requesting the same amount every month. And here even a little plugin we have as service in most pagebuilders today, cost a monthly fee and even small parts of a plugin. This is to me highly unethical and don’t deserves any support.
