Learn basic statistical analyses using R, including data manipulation, statistical indicators, and visualization techniques with step-by-step instructions.
This course is all about mastering basic statistical analyses using the R program. You’ll learn everything from data manipulation to visualizing your findings and performing essential statistical tests. It's super hands-on and perfect for getting comfortable with R!
Basic statistical analyses using the R program
If you want to learn how to perform the basic statistical analyses in the R program, you have come to the right place.
Now you don’t have to scour the web endlessly in order to find how to compute the statistical indicators in R, how to build a cross-table, how to build a scatterplot chart or how to compute a simple statistical test like the one-sample t test. Everything is here, in this course, explained visually, step by step.
So, what will you learn in this course?
First of all, you will learn how to manipulate data in R, to prepare it for the analysis: how to filter your data frame, how to recode variables and compute new variables.
Afterwards, we will take care about computing the main statistical figures in R: mean, median, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis etc., both in the whole population and in subgroups of the population.
Then you will learn how to visualize data using tables and charts. So we will build tables and cross-tables, as well as histograms, cumulative frequency charts, column and mean plot charts, scatterplot charts and boxplot charts.
Since assumption checking is a very important part of any statistical analysis, we could not elude this topic. So we’ll learn how to check for normality and for the presence of outliers.
Finally, we will perform some basic, one-sample statistical tests and interpret the results. I’m talking about the one-sample t test, the binomial test and the chi-square test for goodness-of-fit.
So after graduating this course, you will know how to perform the essential statistical procedures in the R program. So… enroll today!manipulate data in R (filter and sort data sets, recode and compute variables)

It was amazing to learn basic statistics.
Very outdated, the professor doesn't answer questions anymore.
Boring, lacks practice - the exercises present don't have answers and aren't many. No explanational (at least a refresher) of theoretical concepts. Would not recommend, not worth it.
Very good lectures and tutoring but the professor is not there to answer any students questions or concerns.
No one is there to help when one gets stuck as most of the updates to R packages does hold relevant to this due to it being old recordings
very good course if you want to get up and running with R quickly
Bonito curso al grano, y lo que va! y lo deja saber desde principio.
por alguna lecciĂłn no esta actualizada el comando con R , pedia el comando demo$income y no era necesario el demo$ era directo "income".. (stats)
el material merece una update
Good refresher for me in part! In Section 4, there are some 'components' of packages that are used which are not completely clear to me. I guess that I need to read up on various 'tools' in some of those packages to hopefully make their use more clear. Very nicely presented, however!
I always wanted to learn programming which could be used in biology for data processing. Glad that Udemy offers courses at a affordable rate, as i have my own data to filter, the course is making it easy to learn and to apply the fucntions at work. Thankyou.
I wish there was solutions to the practice exercises
Great beginner course for stats student who want to learn how to perform stats in R

Exactly what i expected from a course like this.
Doing a master in psychology, i dont need a 20 hour video on statistical theory(i know that already). Just show me how to do everything in R.
Some of the stuff is outdated, some lines of code you wont need anymore with newer versions, but thats the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.
I didnt wish for anything more than this, now up to intermediate and advanced. Thanks dr. Anastasiei! Multumesc :)
