Learn R Programming by doing!

There are lots of R courses and lectures out there. However, R has a very steep learning curve and students often get overwhelmed. This course is different!

This course is truly step-by-step. In every new tutorial we build on what had already learned and move one extra step forward.

After every video, you learn a new valuable concept that you can apply right away. And the best part is that you learn through live examples.

This training is packed with real-life analytical challenges which you will learn to solve. Some of these we will solve together, some you will have as homework exercises.

In summary, this course has been designed for all skill levels and even if you have no programming or statistical background you will be successful in this course!

answers need to be included for the homework. answers are necessary and it is baffling how no answers are provided

It's extremely useful. Kirill and the team separated R into a bite-sized program that is very easy to understand. The next time I want to code in R, I am sure that I will do great!

While it helped me with the absolute basics of R programming, there were definitely some issues with inconsistency between the version of R used in the tutorials and the updated version of RStudio, which has changed some fundamental aspects. For example, older versions of RStudio would convert character variables to factors when importing data. However, this aspect has been permanently changed with the newer version of RStudio (which is what you get when you download it to use with the course). Here is an explanation: "R version 4.0.0 (released in April 2020) made a significant change: it set stringsAsFactors = FALSE as the default"-statology.org.

What we went over was great, but I feel like it wasn't nearly enough. In either case, it's gotten me the essentials to dive into R further

So far the instructor is great. I just had to google to change appearance because the instruct was using Mac, and for Windows it was much different.

Personally, it is a great course for me to learn programming with R.

However, this course might not be the best for someone who doesn't have experience with programming, as the lessons are not presented in a way that is beginner-friendly (in my humble opinion, at least). In fact, this course reminds me of this particular class I took in university where the lecturer was running through concepts fast as if all students had had programming experience like the lecturer did.

In the end, this course is still a great one to take if you want to learn R. It's just that it's not as easy to follow as the other courses I've seen on this platform.
