“Practical Steps to Overcoming Performance Anxiety" is a focused, effective, course for any performer who wants to be more confident on stage. Professional dancers, musicians, actors, conductors, and aspiring performers are all welcome. I am Luciane Cardassi, a professional concert pianist with a doctorate in Piano Performance and more than 2 decades of performance experience. I had serious issues with stage fright early in my career, and I know it can be exhausting to be a performer if you feel terrified every time you go on stage.

We will go over the roots of your anxiety, practical steps to overcoming the anxiety, and how to stay focused on stage. By the end of the course you will have developed your own personalized pre-performance routine, with techniques that work for you.

The course is structured in 7 sections and 27 lectures, with a number of exercises and quizzes. In about 60 minutes you will have covered the lecture content.

Thank you for a great course. I really felt your artistry the way you created and structured the lessons. I took time to make personal lists and goals when the lessons brought those up. I also have been making videos of my playing and performing for small groups as you suggest and I have improved greatly with your help.

The course was quick and encouraging. It also helps to identify the issue and create better results if you follow through with all the advice and steps given. The instructors voice was also very calming. I like the relaxtion techniques a lot. These were very new to me and worked quickly.

A good reminder for me as I am out of practice as a seasoned performer and teacher due to health reasons. I am approaching coming back to performance and teaching performance with a beginners mind which is not easy but this helped.

I am a singing teacher working with kids, teenagers and adults and enjoyed this course. I thought the first section was very slow and did not offer much information, I almost gave up the course, but then it picked up and was much better. I enjoyed the way it was then structured with the before, during and after performance sections and the reminder about the Fight or Flight manifestations. Maybe adding PDFs of exercises at the end of each section rather than the one (easy and obvious) question quiz might be better? No matter what, I enjoyed this short course!

Good course. Nice length and pace. The experience and symptoms of performance anxiety are very familiar and clearly described. The course gave me some very useful insight and help. I now have a good understanding of what I’m doing that make things worse and how I can modify my own behaviour.
