Hello! My name is Jesse. I was born in Michigan, but I've been living in Central Florida the past 10 years. I've been programming since I was 12. Beginning with QBasic in school, IRC Scripting at home, and HTML in Netscape Navigator on weekends. In those days I had to "View Source" to figure out how to do anything! I...

Excellent. Learnt a lot. The crud class extends PDO which I will use in my projects. But limited to one table I have to modify it. I love Jesse's voice and style and didactic genius. Like mentioned before, it is not a beginners course, but I would recommend it to beginners. Just keep in mind as a beginner you won't get everything in the first try. Give yourself time. Go get a lot of valuable tips and tricks. Yes, Jesse teaching style not a 100% prepared one, but that's how developers work. Debugging and getting better ideas how to improve code quality and stability along the development process is most coders work. I regret that I did not take the course earlier. Recommend Jesse's PHP punch in the face course absolutely for beginners and advanced coders. Very happy I booked this course.

This course is pretty good. The instructor does a good job of giving you a general idea of how various things work. You need a little bit of knowledge and a basic ability to understand the basics to infer the bigger things, but overall it's a good course.

I got punched in the face by the lack of response to my questions and it is really annoying as a beginner in Php to be shaft aside when you can't even get the teacher to respond to basic questions.

He leaves out important information at times and works way too fast for a beginner to effectively follow. For instance, in the "$_GET" section, he says you use "isset()" to avoid getting errors instead of explaining the real reason it exists. He also goes over "$_POST" far too quickly, while assuming the student understands terms he never previously explained. Most of the course is him sloppily rushing through cluttered/unorganized and hardly legible code. Spend your money on another PHP course, there are plenty here that are better.
