The course hasn't been updated in a while, so in some cases you need to figure out details of workflows by yourself. It is hard to follow as a beginner as there isn't always a noticeable common thread or workflows are explained too late without a previous announcement that they'll follow later (e.g. starting a Spring App from the IDE). Dan appears to not speak without notes most of the time, which makes it hard to concentrate on what he's saying. He jumps when showing examples, so that sometimes classes appear out of nowhere without further explanation. Double-checking with the demo material is necessary to really understand what he is doing. There are no sample solutions for the exercises, you can't review your own work and if you're stuck you're stuck. Dan clearly knows what he's talking about, the learning materials are well thought through and helpful but from a pedagogical point of view I wouldn't recommend this course if you don't want to do a fair amount of research yourself. Some issues have been tackled in his free (and more up-to-date!) youtube-videos- it makes sense to watch them. Moreover, Dan's presenting skills have improved tremendously in comparison to the course.
The presentation is very modular and clear.

Ik vond het wel jammer dat bepaalde onderdelen slecht te volgen waren,

I began this course without any knowledge of Spring Boot. This course helped me develop a new technology that I could make us of and be the lead programmer of my company who is trying to go into a new direction of web development but still using java technology. Mr. Dan Vega explained very well the lessons and I really learned more through the examples that he gave and that helped me try it on my projects that will be the foundation of our new program. This course is amazing. The only issue I'm having is that sometimes I'm trying to take notes so I activate the captions but they don't match what the instructor is saying.
