Pros: If your formal/informal education doesn't have much exposure to "Art Appreciation" or to visual art this will be an excellent starting point!

Cons: The presenter is lit by two spotlights that reflect in her eyes. This is distracting. It is midway through the presentation before she shows any delight in what she is talking about. Blinking eyelid "bookends" are still distracting even after seeing them all through the course.

Conclusion: I was and am VERY happy with the exposure to Visual Design I am getting.

The information just goes by with no reinforcement or ability to practice. This makes retention difficult.

Great course, loved the the precise and detailed examples. I already did a lot of Graphic Design courses, had quite a bit of education on the subject but some chapters like paterns, textures and many others did go behind the basics. I liked both graphic design, video and marketing only thing I don't see this course as particulary tailored to video design. More of a general / indepth course on Graphic Design / Visual Communication course. It's packed with so much content, I like the approach of sources for more information maybe add an pdf with all the links. And maybe an chapter about - Design 4 Video Editors (like making titles, different intro's animations , taking a look at graphics in video's, movies etc.

This course provided excellent educational value, while remaining entertaining. The visual elements strongly supported the instruction in what turned out to be a very sound introduction to the basics of design. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to gain a foothold in the visual design field.
