I'm from southern Utah but have been living in Las Vegas, California, and Texas for the past couple years. (Little-known fact: southern Utah is actually the haps, so check it out some time!)My friend introduced me to programming a couple of years ago and that's when I made my first app. I loved it! To me there is nothing like...

The girl in the course goes through the content very quickly and does not explain anything. She is the WORST teacher I ever had. She is basically reading from her notes line by line without taking the time to tell what what this line of code does.

been really busy with personal projects but now getting time to rate. I really enjoyed the courses so far! Very detailed and things are explained correctly. What I like most is that as a student, I want to know how to build upon and create myself.. And the structors in this course set a foundation and even give you ideas after the apps where you can continue with the project and really make it your own on what you may want to create!

I am so glad I found this class! I was giving up on my app dreams until I found this course. They both really know how to teach you from knowing nothing about coding to actually being able to make your own app!

The course is very practical and hands on which gives you the confidence to build your own apps. The course repeats essential concepts like making table views to reinforce understanding and builds up on them to introduce new features most of which you will find in everyday apps. The course also teaches you important non-development issues like monetizing your app and planning. The instructors are enthusiastic about what they are teaching and very clear. This is the perfect course for beginners or for iOS developers who have gone through other courses that focused on too much theory . However, code quality was missing which is important in real world apps. I recall cases where a struct would have been better to use than classes, there was improper use of optionals at times which leads to unsafe code and there was bad naming conventions. There's very little on UI/UX in the course leaving you with not too visually compelling apps although you can make up for this in an iOS course focused entirely on design. Overall though, it is a great course and highly recommended.

I like Jenna- she is cheerful and knows the material but she moves too fast and does not explain items in enough detail. I feel rushed during each video, having to pause too often.
Overall though this is a great course and minor issues aside, it is one of the best Swift app tutorials out there. Great job guys. Thank you for what you do.

Rick & Jenna's approach of walking you through small apps (and incrementally building on that knowledge) works great! You can get all the basics down and start building your own app, then re-visit specific app videos to review how to implement different features since there's so much to learn.
