He set up the balance sheet wrong, Depreciation & Amortization are not calculated before Gross Profit. They are calculated after Interest & Taxes. E.B.I.T.D.A. = Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, & Amortization. That should be the line after Gross Profit - Operating Expenses; Gross Profit - Operating Expenses = EBITDA. Going okay so far, sometimes he talks very slow, other times he talks very fast. Hard to keep the playback speed at a good rate. Will reserve judgement until the end of the course.
Completely FAILED to correctly show where Depreciation & Amortization belong in the Balance Sheet. No wonder he failed Accounting the first time through. They **DO NOT** go into the Gross Profit calculation! Makes me doubt everything else he does. Course was not engaging nor did it simplify the ideas of accounting for me. Just because "software does it for you now" does NOT mean that you don't need to know how to do it manually!
Accounting Stuff on YouTube is MUCH better and is FREE!
