DISCLOSURE - This event was filmed in front of a live audience at the British Consulate

CBS Sunday Morning with Bill Geist filmed this event. There are times when there are multiple cameras angles but it's not too distracting.

Too basic... though I did pick up a few things.
It would be good to get tips on how to know what is going on during the season with out having to pay lose attention!

The title of the course led me to believe I would be learning about football. I learned very little about football as it was incredibly basic and most of the information was about networking- which I have no interest in. I'm sure I would have enjoyed the course if I was looking to explore networking but that was not my goal. "How to watch an American football game" is a very misleading title and I regret my decision to have participated in this course.

Being a devoted football mom, I bought this on Groupon thinking it would help me to understand football more than I already do and learn more about all the penalties, plays and positions. The lecturers are boring and seem unprepared. The description of this course is very deceptive. This does not just cover football like it was presented, it's also a business networking course which is not something I wanted to learn about through this course. Big waste of my time and money.I couldn't even access the entire course! It only goes to section 8 and there are supposed to be 10! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE! Did I mention this was a BIG WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY?

Great enthusiasm and I learned a little but not enough depth to really understand the game.

I think the idea for this course was great. I think it started out well. I don't mind the networking piece as some folks stated they didn't. My frustration(s) were I thought this would be a deeper dive. I think most people know that each team needs to advance the ball to the other end of the field. The coach in this lesson was lame. He would ask the question to the audience. I am glad the woman spoke up and said "I don't know that is why I am here" or 'go back - you missed a few referee signals.' It was painful for him to want to say too much. I found this left me with more questions than it did answer questions. What was presented in the lesson should be just the 1st quarter. I think the videoing of this session should have been done at a different time that the TV show. The cameraman would be in front of the speaker or the screen. It was very distracting to have a camera crew walking in front of us. The audio was lacking also. I could not hear a few people especially the British lady.
This course should be marketed as a basic beginner football and networking session.
My Udemy barometer shows I am half done even tho' I watched all 4 quarters and the post game. I feel it knows there is so much more missing. I would like to see this course re-done with out the former BC coach. Get some one who can present and deliver information rather than just ask questions. More details of strategies, reason for referee calls - video examples of plays, ...
I could give you a great outline of what would make this course great. I would be doing what the folks in the audience did - they basically gave the course on football.

I thought this course would give me a working knowledge od understanding football, but I'm not sure I came out of it with much more knowledge than I had. Also, the football references are pertinent if you live in Boston and are familiar with the folks they are referring to, but to those of us that don't follow football, had no clue who they were referring to.

On the bright side I do have some questions that I can now jumpstart a conversation with my husband so he can more clearly explain the game to me.

I learned very little from this course and am thankful that I bought the living social because I would not have been happy at all had I spent $50 on it. The information was very basic and there should have been real game examples to illustrate the different positions, penalties, scoring and strategies. I don't feel like this was advertised the right way on the living social deal. It should have stated that it was targeted more towards those looking to improve their networking in business skills.

I live in a family of sports nuts, I regularly find myself in company of sports entusiasts where talking about my native Gaelic football doesn't fly.
I can now socialize and network with my newly acquired knowledge. Thanks to two great presenters that made it both interesting and fun.
