This is a good course, as such it has taught me the value of recall and reviewing. It has not given any flashy techniques, but the tried and tested flashcards. It drills the fact that it is very important to pay attention, be prepared and review. We can control 50% of our memorization, and we should be impeccable with 50% of it. It has even a fresh way of looking at memory palaces i.e. using our body parts as stations, and it is really another way of adding to the effective memory techniques. Thanks Katya for making this course!!

It is a good way how to learn something effectively, how to change information to knowledge and how ito review what one has learned. I recommend this course for everyone who wants to improve oneself in studying in school, university or at home.

the sound quality of some videos specially the male voice fades away. this is an average course. I took one of her course how to learn from videos. same problem. I did not know a lot about the udemy rating system. I really need to learn from videos at that time. I hope she improves the videos.

Starting from Section 2.4, the sound volume becomes very low. Even I tune my speaker to its maximum, it is very unclear. The way of learning from a dialogue also make it very hard to follow as the information is scattered and without structure. What's worse, the subtitle is not aligned with what the presenters said.
Starting from Section 4, concepts are introduced only in a rush manner. They are not clearly explained. You will get confused even if you watch the video from the beginning to the end.

Generally a good course. It covers the basics well and gets straight to the point.
Even though I can't directly apply a lot of those things in my studies. I study maths and you simply can't learn a formula the same way you would learn a list of words or a speech.

The one comment I will make is that the questions provided after each part are useless. You say yourself in the first lecture that you don't like multiple choice questions because one can often guess the answers. Yet that's exactly the type of questions you provide. You also say questions at the end of each lecture are supposed to tell you if you understood it or not. Well your questions don't reflect that, they merely show if you've listened to the lecture or not.

I like it but at times it's difficult to understand. The audio sounds like it was recorded in a bucket.
