This course explores the foundations of biblical interpretation and provides students with key tools for reading, interpreting, and applying the Bible in the contemporary world. There are nine lectures in the course (over 5 hours of content), with accompanying PowerPoints.
In this course, you will learn 1) how to read the Bible with awareness of historical and cultural context.
2) How to read the Bible with attentiveness to the literary characteristics of the text
3) How to read the Bible with knowledge of the big story of the Bible.

This prof is clear, organized and on the right track. I'd like a summary of pts for each subsection of the section - in PPT or a document, for instance, for the Intro and #2, I have 15 major points to be remembered. I wrote them down, would be good to have a resource to check against. Quizzes would be good too on the major points. Other than this, this is delightfully done.

The audio is autrocious! As a student of Scripture bas3d on this leecture I think the prent3r hs missed the goal of Scriptural interpretation. Great for a liberal Seminary.

So far (about 2/3 of the way through), , I've found this course very informative and a great introduction to biblical exegetical techniques. I hope it ends with a list or resources for going deeper.
