I am a philologist fascinated by the metamorphoses of text on the Web. Intensely curious about the ways the semantic Web unfolds, I explore how writing and search change with time. My educational background is in Classical Studies and Creative Writing. Long story short, I am (at times dangerously) inclined to dig deep into words and concepts and am very...

I put this course in my wish list for a long time until I got enough money to buy it (because it never joined any discount on Udemy). After I finally got it, however, I found that it's somewhat disappointing. The presentation of the basic idea is okay, but the amount of technical content about both writing and semantic web are relatively low. It is more like some opinions from some expert but not a tutorial to guide you step-by-step to finally feel confident about what to do to write in a semantic web world or fashion. Besides, there are several technical issues about the course, such as instability of volume and quality of recorded voice, background noise and environment which are somewhat annoying along the studies, even the slides are constantly cropped out of the screen. I really hope this course will be remodeled and improved in the future since I have tried very hard to dig out anything helpful to me from it so that I could not get my refund now.

So far, the content is excellent, but the presentation is stilted and the transcript is awful.

Teodora provides an excellent overview and understanding of the structure of the semantic web, and the importance of building trust and relationships in our writing, much like in real life.

I highly recommend the course, I've taken other writing courses, and none are as complete and enlightening as Content Writing in the Semantic Web.

Teodora Petkova truly loves the topic of writing and the semantic web and it shows up as brilliance wrapped up in a bow.

Thank-you!

As a web professional since 1995 I have closely followed the developments addressed in this class. The instructor's overall approach is enormously sound in terms of fundamentals, which is both refreshing and of practical value. I am really eager to absorb what is ahead in this class and relate it to my own use of language, narrative, meaning, and machine-understandable data. Here I am returning, having finished the course, to add to my review. I have really gotten a lot out of this course. It has facilitated my day job and changed many of my everyday ways of thinking about content. I think the author's soundness is greatly commendable. These abstractions have a real dimension, and she never neglects that.

Excellent course; the instructor is engaging and engaged. I particularly appreciated the depth of her analyses and the depth and richness of her answers to my questions. I am on now to complete my assignments and I really look forward to completing them. This topic is extremely relevant for our constantly evolving cyber-lives which will only get better (or worse depending on the perspective you want to adopt with the web :-)

Great introduction! I loved how the author gradually introduced us to the existence of text on the web and how she prepared the field to talk about the search for relevant information.
I also found the second part relevant and informative. The author makes the main point of the lecture visible and highlighted so that they are not lost on the student.
Also, the author provided several useful sources for further research which is extremely helpful.

This is a quality course for those who need a depth of understanding about how to write and communicate on the web today. These's no fluff here. Just insight and food for thought. Teodora does go into some depth so I found myself listening over to a few of the lectures more than once to grasp the concepts. Understanding how to write semantically for the web - which is semantic by its design and nature - has opened up a whole new frontier for me, which is quite exciting.
