I listened to videos that gave me a basic introduction. I am not sure how much I will remember later.

It's been 30+ years since I was in the data processing procession where I was a COBOL programmer. so far it's a good review. the instructor is a little hard to understand, but I am getting the gist of what he is saying.

It would be good if Udemy allowed me to preview a course so I can hear the instructors accent. Can't stand listening to this course so won't be going further than lesson 1. Luckily it was only $11 so not much lost.

This course can be better if subtitles and sourcecode are added in english, the presenter has very strong accent and it some times difficult to understand.
Should I and you learn hindu? 100% , well why you ask ? We in the west must be able better in communication knowledge and skill.
Further thing which i didn't liked:
1. No source files are included in this course, just type off the screen and be happy that it works.
Still i think this quite a challenge, it can be better but presentations slides must be included too.
2. The pasting of this course is some sort feels incomplete, sure for experienced programmer like me (I am java oracle certified and have 2 years experience in programming, there were 0 problem, but for people who actually start to learn programming language , cobol in my opinion its a bad start, if you a newbee start from pascal or php or just pick the language were you can easy grasp all possible code manipulations , then you can come back and learn cobol.
3. the IDE is a website, not sure how good it should give a praxis understanding of cobol, throughout the course i used OpenCobol IDE and was very productive.
4. People do not expect deep explanations here, just be happy that your cobol code works!

Good content, But hard to hear and understand instructor. It is like he was too close to the microphone at all times.

Curso muito bom para iniciantes. Só não avaliei com 5 estrelas porque o inglês do professor não é muito "entendível" para nós brasileiros que não domina bem o inglês.
