About This Course

Fast Coding Techniques that Every C# Developer Must Know

If you want to be a real pro C# coder, you need to master your keyboard and Visual Studio. You need to be able to navigate in your code base, find and modify code in seconds. Great coders hardly ever use the mouse. They do everything with the keyboard. They use shortcuts and some tricks to type less and generate more code in less time. And that is what this course is all about.

In this course, Mosh, author of six 5-star C# courses, shares with you lots of shortcuts and tricks that help you find, write and modify code in less time.

In particular, you'll learn

  • How to quickly find files, classes and methods. Say goodbye to Solution Explorer and navigating between folders to find classes.

  • How to navigate in the code like a pro: no more clicking back and forth to navigate between members of classes. Jump from one method to another and come back to where you were.

  • How to compile, run and debug applications faster and more effectively.

  • 60+ shortcuts that will boost your productivity (both on Windows and Mac)

  • How to reduce your chance of getting RSI (repetitive strain injury)

Since ReSharper is not free for commercial purposes, can you suggest some alternatives that are free? It would be ideal if they are open-source, as I believe they will come at no cost.

This was a good course and taught me some new shortcuts, however some of the shortcuts are now outdated at the time of writing (October 2024), and the links to the course materials are broken and require you to manually add a file extension. Even some of the course material itself is outdated.

Nicely presented but it seems to be slightly outdated (Last updated April 2018). Still useful anyway.

Useful info but some feels outdated as last update was 6+ years ago.

as a junior developer, it was vital for me to learn a more efficient method when writing and debugging hundred, and thousands of lines of code. the more experienced developers always talked about best practices, and to work slowly but efficiently. one thing i always heard was, "you never want to use the mouse". this course is (from what I have experienced thus far) is still applicable to Visual Studios 2022. navigating through code is a dozy. being able to do it without having to mindlessly scroll builds good habits, but also, just knowing the shortcuts gives you a small sense of victory and helped me to become even more interested in programming. great course!
