(only watched pt 3 as that was most relevant for my interests) Really enjoyed this course. Was incredibly helpful in laying out the basics for someone who is not familiar with Brazilian history. I feel more confident in pursuing further research now. The only improvement I would suggest is adding video clips and more images to make the history come alive.

I am currently applying to colleges in Brazil, and most of them require a decent amount of knowledge on Brazilian history (obviously.) These classes are NOT boring and remain interesting. Instead of reading off a book and listing random characteristics, the lectures give a deeper understanding of the history of Brazil.

As an American living in Brazil, I am so excited to have found a course in English that is accessible to the public and goes in to relative detail on its history, economic relevance and culture. Can’t wait to get through all of the lectures!

This course contains very valuable cultural information about Brazil to understand the roots of brazilians as well as their social development.
I originally found it because I am learning portuguese and this one came across in the search, at first I thought it was not what I was looking for, but now I think this can be useful as a complement to learn cultural context that is never mentioned in language courses.
A recommendation for improvement, I am very visual so I think it would be good to include more visual aids to keep engagement up.
Thank you Professor Eakin!
