The info is very old and is basic, you get a general idea but it has no practical use for the titanium sdk of this day.

The course promises basic skills, and it didn't show at least how to create table views, list views, scrollable views, also, didn't show how to create navigation modules.

The IDE is outdated but still relevant as far as I can tell. The examples are informative enough, but rather unimpressive - there's little incentive to transcribe the code and reproduce the results, at least in the first few lectures.
