Instructor is good. However, the video course for speed reading is a front for another course with another company.
I enrolled in the course like 10 months ago, I wasn't finish it and just leave it a 2-star. Couple days ago when I look my course history in Udemy I thought I might be under rated this course so I decided to give it another try and see what can I get from the course, now I decided to keep my rating and here is why.
I don't want to be critical but this is not the right course that I am looking for. I would believe that the instructor trying to give something useful and may benefit the student from the speed reading perspective. BUT, the biggest problem is the instructor spent 4/5 of entire course to tell us what's the idea behind his speed reading method and why it should work.
We are here not trying to become psychologist or neurologist, all we need is just learn a method to read efficiency and effectively. I would rather see the instructor could speed 4/5 time on course tell us and lead us to practice the method.
From what I can tell, the method behind this course could be well explained in 10-15 minutes but it doesn't seems to be very comprehensive. In the QA session the instructor was talking about another course in udemy from him and an 'Advanced' one on one session over Skype. I am looking another course in the same topic, but i would NOT recommend this course to anyone that seriously trying to learn speed reading.
I found this course enjoyable and giving essential fundamentals on speed reading. Now I am focusing on practice and changing my reading habits and applying techniques from the course. The improvement in my speed was obvious. As the appetite is coming with more eating I am looking forward for the advance course.
