Once you understand the basics, next is the Quiz time. You can test your understanding with a number of quizzes available in the Test Your Understanding (Quizzes) section. If you get many wrong answers and also if there is anything you don't understand, please revisit the corresponding lecture in the JavaScript Basics section before proceeding to the Exercises section.

This was a good match for me. In the hands on exercises, after the introduction, I worked each of them myself before watching the teacher do her solution. I have been a mainframe/midrange programmer for a long time, and I found some of her logic questionable. It works, but it could be better. For example, the exercise to find the largest value in an array would fail if it were passed an array consisting of all negative numbers. Either the initial value should be a very largely negative number, or even better, I wrote it to set the initial value to the first entry in the array. Then, in the loop, I started with the second value. That will work whatever types of numbers the input array contains. That is just one example.

I have learnt a lot about the JavaScript language. I wish she would have discussed a lot about the class object constructor and closure stuffs. I guess she left out these advanced stuffs.
